Kaia Gerber - The Face of Young Versace

As mentioned before and as posted on our Facebook wall, Versace has brought back the Young Versace Line and apparently this time with a vengeance as they have embraced an aggressive ad campaign with Kaia Gerber, the 10 year old daughter of Cindy Crawford to act as their "face" in advertising publication. Here are a few blogs and columns that cover this sort of thing.  I suspect that although using celebrities to promote products is not a new concept the use of the children themselves as their own people (not pictured together with their mom or dad as in the case of Gucci using Jennifer Lopez) is something that is new and we can expect to see a lot more of it in the near future.

Do The Right Thing with Galliano

Having incredible talent and being a nice person doesn't always go together as was illustrated in 2011 with the John Galliano fiasco where he got drunk and said some disgusting things that got him quickly fired from Dior and even his namesake brand, the John Galliano brand which is owned by Dior.

But as Dior did the right thing by firing Galliano we felt that it would be the wrong thing to penalize Dior who owned the brand if we were to skip it for more than the initial season that the scandal broke.

And we are glad we didnt because its cute, fresh and hip at the same time.  The design is by Dior and the production is by Diesel.  Cant go wrong with that combination!

Here are some of the newest arrivals from the Spring 2012 Galliano Collection with more to come:

Kids Designer Clothing Trends Take Center Stage

Kids Designer Clothing Trends Take Center Stage This Spring!

It's February and that means there are a few things you can count on: Valentines Day hearts and gifts will be everywhere, and spring fashions will be out in force. As the winter season comes to a close, stores everywhere will premier their fashions that will blow them away this spring. But adults aren't the only ones primed for a fashion rebirth this season. Children's fashion trends are coming to help your young ones close the school year in style. But what will the school bus be buzzing about this spring? .

Here are just a few kids designer clothes trends set to break them out of their winter shell and propel them right into Summer.

Prints: A classic look for spring, prints offer bright colors and monochromatic designs that scream "I am done with Winter!" Designers from Dolce And Gabbana Junior to Baby Dior are showing printed skirts. Floral prints, polka dots and other classic prints get new cuts and excellent pairings this spring.

Decorative Add-Ons: From lace trim to ribbons hanging off of dresses, the top designers are showing clothes with a little something extra this spring. But before you begin imagining some bizarre arts and crafts project, remember that most designers use these elements sparingly and with great effect to give your little one an ensemble different than anything else.

Ruffles: While making a slow comeback in adult fashions, mostly with older women, ruffles come back to kids designer clothes in a big way, adding another element to the traditionally simple children's fashion world. Look for ruffled shirts under more patterned printed tops for kids this spring, giving an adorable look for more special, dress-up occasions
