Transitioning with Cashmere Down

While you may know Moncler for its unparalleled Winter warmth you might not know that they also have a wonderful line for Spring / Summer with delicious cottons and stylish jackets and windbreakers.

Armani Junior continues to impress us season after season.  No great deviations for classic.  No wild swings from the normal.  Yes they continue to put out nice and wearable with just enough touch of different, season after season.

The More Things Change The More They Stay The Same

There is a famous French expression PLUS ÇA CHANGE, PLUS C'EST LA MÊME CHOSEwhich means to say the more things change the more they stay the same.  While the expression may have negative connotations it becomes a matter of life and death when it comes to a brand attempting the dangerous yet sometimes very necessary balancing act of  reinventing itself.  whena brand needs to reinvent itself it must take great pains to insure that on the one hand it doesnt veer to far away from the path it originally created for fear of losing its customer base.  On the other hand it sometimes needs a jolt of life to reinvigorate the brand.  That it why rebranding often fails.

But this Spring 2012 Season Lili Gaufrette successfully executes a brand reformation as evident here.  Some now available on the site.  Others This season.

You don't know what you've got until its gone

We spend a lot of time selecting items that you see in the boutiques.  From the full day we spend at I Pinco Pallino in Milan, or the hours on end choosing the Jean Paul Gaultier Junior, Little Marc Jacobs, Baby Dior, Paul Smith Kids, Armani Junior, Burberry or Moncler Kids Items and all those that "make the grade" so to speak and find their way into the TC stores there is no doubt that time and effort goes into what we do.  That being said, sometimes we select an item during market and dont realize how nice it is until it's too late in the season to fully appreciate it.  

That was the case with this Laura Biagiotti skirt and sweater that passed through TC this Fall.  I didnt realize how nice it was until the last three pieces went to a customer with three kids who tried them on in the store.  Here is what it looked in play.
